I agree, I like this shot better than the 'Silhouette' one; but it does not have the solid feel on one side that made the other a better choice for the challenge. This one is definitely the better photo.

I personally think this is much better than the one you submitted...
the texture of the skin and colors are great!
Why go for what you think the voters like more if you got a shot you yourself like better?
