Sitting in center field watching the Washington Nationals play the Florida Marlins (we won!). Same place where I took my Bummer! entry:

Mounted on a tripod, with the tripod collar loose. I held the zoom ring still and twisted the camera, which simultaneously zoomed and spun. Thanks to nshapiro for suggesting the technique.

For me, this captures the anxiety of trying to hit a very fast-moving ball while the entire stadium watches you.

Hello Jeffrey... comment is per the critique club.

Really not too much to say. The execution and relevance to the challenge is spot on. The square format is perfect as it emphasizes the middle and really anyone wanting to understand when to use the square format should look here. The zoom effect and rotation really adds zip to the photo and gives it an exciting energy. Emotions are subjective to say the least, and I think anxiety is a good choice here.

My only quibble would be maybe for some darker greens, but that is more of a personal thing.

Ps. The ball in flight is amazing.

Oh, Jeffrey! I think this is perfect for this challenge. It is dizzying and draws you in, and upon "seeing" what you have done here, the figure is brilliant! Auuuugh. . .these non-artsy voters. Ya gotta love 'em, huh?

I love the variations in colour and tones, and the light versus the darkness. Great spiral. Well done, one of my favourites for the challenge.

Base-ball personally I don't like base-ball but I like your picture

This is similar to what I had in mind for illustrating "frustration", but I didn't enter anything.

I can definitely see the anxiety.

I like the concept but I don't like the processing. I want the abstract to convey the emotion. No so much the swirl effect fan in this photograph.

This is one of the best as far as I'm concerned. I know it's a baseball game (it is, right?) but the swirl slant you've put on it really conveys those topsy turvy feelings of nervous anticipation and anxiety. I like also how one half of the picture is that soft bright green and the other is the mixed colours of the crowd. Awesome. Sorry for the essay, hehe.

that's pretty cool. Certainly abstract and certainly makes me fearful, thinking how sick I'd get twirling around that fast. LOL 7

This one actually does convey the emotion well, and incorporates abstract desighn.
