Blossoming dahlia bud.

Post: Camera raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness contrast and hue/saturation. Adjust Sharpness. New layer adjustment for levels and gradient map converting to grayscale. Adjustments for red, green and blue in the levels dialogue. Flatten. Crop. Resize. Adjust sharpness.

In answer to Deb's question, sort of a purply pink like this: . Dahlias come in just about every color you can imagine.

Gorgeous clarity and detail. Needn't be in color at all to be stunning. Were I a betting person, I'd say maybe a deep pink?

This is a gorgeous b&w flower! I love the contrast - the whites, the blacks and everything in between - the sharpness and how the flowers pops against the black background. While it doesn't make me think of a particular color, it does give me the visualization of a light colored center with darker tips.

The lighting and sharpness makes this photo, great job, although I am not sure what colors are involved here it screams vibrant to me just as it is! Who cares what the colors actually are LOL
