(and shooting the same subject matter as well) Funnily enough I didn't shoot this shot for the challenge, just heard some grasshoppers buzzing in a clump of grass, caught this shot, and thought Oh yes! on looking through the viewfinder....

Editing: crop, HSL selectively applied on the leaves (I wanted them green), saturation boost, sharpen, d&b, and resize. Tried to clone out the shadow on the leaf (shot this at mid-day as that was when time permitted) but I hated how it looked :-( I must I must I must learn how to clone.

nice colors and warm hues here - a bit sharper focus through smaller aperture may have really brought this one to a much higher level - as it is, the focus is on the back of the head and not so much the eyes
