 We live in Kailua Kona and so the guild books have lots of photos of our town in them. I wanted to take one that thay would not have, this is it.

Clever shot. I love your point of view and composition. The yellow certainly gets my attention! I kind of wish the background would be just a bit more interesting, but I still like the boldness of the composition and the strong yellow of the hydrant.

I like much: The originality of the picture angle. - The bright yellow on a somewhat dull background.
I like less: The cigarette butt on the sidewalk.

Really funny. I love it. My only suggestion is that it lokos like the cars were blurred out in post-processing. It looks alittle funny. I'm not very adept in PS myself so I'm not sure how to correct it. Sometimes you can use several layers and gausian blur to blur the background to give your subject more DOf. I think there may be a tutorial on this on the site. But, overall, I really like it. The fire hydrant really stands out. Too many images in this challenge have no real point of interest or subject to draw the eye - 8.
