This is my front door. The door and decoration are as shot, everything else is rendered in B&W. The 173 was selected and brightened and contrast was increased to make it stand out better. Cropped and borders placed around it and that was it.

Really nice picture. I like the red door with the rest of the pic in B&W. The door decoration doesn't really suit such an elegant looking door.

I like the idea of the shot, but the angle makes it look tilted.

This is a good door, in a nice frame, on a well-made wall. Not much more to be said.

......happily ever after - maybe the lines could lined up better.

I think I would prefer this shot if it were taken from straight on. I do like your use of desaturation, though.

The selective de-saturation adds impact to the fake look of the brick-work, especially with the faux-georgian/palladian pediment on the doorway. The cheesy garland just re-inforces that impact. The overly-perfect bpointing, allied to the overly clean lines and maintenance of the scene speak of an obsession with appearance to the exclusion of historical accuracy, or perhaps a simple ignorance of it. Affecting shot, in those senses; lacking in a sense of contrast - nothing to re0inforce that message, or to make your real message clear if my assessment is wrong.

I do not understand the use of selective desaturation here

A great take on this challenge, one of the more original images, hope it does well.

I am not very fond of partial desaturation, it is a bit overdone. But otherwise a fine image.

I think I would have removed the ornament from the door. It distracts from an otherwise very classic, classy image.
