Thought of this at the last minute. Hope people will be able to empathize with green vegetables and childhood and the horrible smell and taste of Brussels Sprouts.

Yup, you are right. It's not going anywhere! Great pic as well, though you need to watch your JPEG compression settings. It appeared a bit grainy to me, and with a file size of 77k, that is part of why. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (150k for this one) I would have voted a point higher except for that.

I hate brussels sprouts so i will give you the immovable here. The Sprout is very sharp. I am not sure about the hand being out of focus. I would have probably tyied to have the sprout, fork and hand all in focus for this. Also not sure about the border on this.

I'm sure not buying any tickets on that train. Good take on subject and nice sharp focus.

I love this! The only thing that bothers me is the green border, but I think that might just be me. :).

Ineresting image. A little bright as the white areas have lost detail and the sprout is getting close to featureless in the light center. I would suggest either more depth of field to make the hand sharp, or crop the hand out entirely. At the same time, this still doesn't look immovalbe. I eat them on a regular basis and they move just fine. ;-)

interesting take on "immovable", but think this would have been even better without the red sauce on the fork

Nice photo, but not very immoveable.

On this and many of them I don't get the tie-in. Is this maybe a song lyric? What is that red stuff? Nice sharp brussels sprout.

great idea. Pity about the sauce on the fork though.

I'll give it a six cause it's a good picture but I don't really get it...

photo is okay, sauce on the fork is distracting.

The focus could stand to be a little sharper.

Not my favorite shot but one of the more creative takes on this topic. OCDs make me want to wash the fork!

Yuck - I'd be unmoved by Brussels sprouts too!

Wonderful idea, The dirty fork conveys the idea of the end of a meal. Nice shot. It might as well be immovable because I'm not eating that!

ok it did take me a bit of a while to get it. duh I'm slow I hope (for you) that people are quicker than me. Nice idea. Having said that, two things I would have preferred differently for my taste: 1/ the dirty fork. ok I get that it should feel like it's the end of the meal, but still I would have preferred a clean fork. 2/ the central part of the background looks burnt out on my supposedly calibrated monitor.

Oh, I've been here trillions of times. Not fond of the border, though.

this is weird, I don't get it for the challenge, creative? yes. Good colors.

i can't help but think this would have worked better with a clean fork, my eye is drawn past the sprout to all the other gunk on the fork...

I am having a hard time seeing this as immovable. The image itself lacks sharp detail - almost to the point of having motion blur which in itself makes this not immovable. Giving this 5 for effort.

I really do not get the essence of this image... neither is it great technically.
