For the first time, as I'm looking thru the challenge results I'm able to recognize names & personalities I've become familiar with in side challenges & forums. I see & recognize beautiful photography like this & feel surprised at how the voting turned out. For the first time it occurs to me in a meaningful way that if others are working to their own standards & artistic vision, so can I. I didn't enter this challenge because I couldn't escape the dead weight of knowing I can't pander to the voters. This beautiful shot is an inspiration. Shooting outdoors under a cloudy sky is something I often do. I love the soft shadows of low ambient light. The mystery. If I'd voted in this challenge, I hope I would've had the eyes to see it so I could give it a 10. |

Having grown up in the South, I have had my share of Okra. I haven't liked any of it! This is the first Okra I have appreciated. ;) It really is a lovely image.
eta: I'd paint the lower right corner green, now that the basic challenge is over.

A little underexposed isn't it?? Was this done on purpose? |

the DOF is nice, but overall the image is too dark for my liking. Perhaps having a touch more light in the background would really make this image "pop" :) |
