| Really like the way this horse is shown against the background and sky. (Have to agree about the other horse being distracting - maybe if he/she were of a similarly subdued colour.) |

| This is a great shot but probably not shallow enough to do well in this challenge. I love the dark clouds and the grayish horse. |

| I know that the other horse is contributing to the shallow dof effect but the picture itself would be stronger with it cropped out imo. |

| Love the composition, focus and colors (and wow, what a beautiful horse). I'll be voting up those images that illustrate DOF, and voting higher those which have a sharp focus, and higher still those which have both a foreground and background element to illustrate DOF. |
