Technically, I think this is a great example of a shallow DOF, but I find it distracting that the wings are in focus and the body is not. |

Pity you didn't get the top of the wing. Maybe you could have looked downwards just a bit more and eliminated that black bit in the background too. |

that's a monarch butterfly, not a moth. cool detail on the wing but I'm not really a fan of the crop |

For anything that has a head, I always prefer the focus be on the eyes. The wings, even being out of focus, would have made a lovely pattern. But with the head out of focus, the moth virtually becomes headless. |
