Challenge: Immovable (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-40D
Location: Home Studio

Aperture: F 4.5
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/20

Date Uploaded: Sep 7, 2008

This pic I took in my home studio in a shadow box with 2 small desk lamps. I changed the color to black and white and adjusted the levels in Photoshop CS3. Other than that I didn't do too much! Hope you like it!

I'm afraid most of the pic seems slightly out of focus.

I wish the woody could have been more in focus. nice photo though!

I will take Woody as being someone (whereas others won't).
Different idea.
However, it looks to me that none of the photo is in focus. The crop is slightly off-centre which I dopn't think works, and I would have not cropped that close to the world at the top

I think something needs to be better focused.

Focus appears off, I can't seem to find anything in sharp focus.

great idea, I think I may of tried a tighter crop on top so that whatever is seen up there (white something) would not be visable

OOF a bit. I like the shot though.

Too out of focus and blurred for my taste and the composition isnt great either. If you rested the globe on woody's shoulders like Atlas it would make a great image.

If by choice then I am sorry, but the focus is a bit distracting to me.

Bit of motion blur there, it'd help if Woody was more in focus. Still a cute shot, makes me wish I'd submitted by own Woody idea! The b&w is nice.

I don't get a sense of the immovable here - it seems more like the planet is bouncing up in the air after he threw it.

I like the idea but the DOF is off

Not sure if the softness is on purpose, but it is not working for me. Like the idea though!

I would have liked to see either woody or the globe in focus

The blur on the globe looks good, implies that it is spinning, but the blur on Woody doesn't look good.

Great shot. I love the atlas concept. Personally, I think more depth of field might make this a slightly better photo, but then again it might bring in distractions in the background.

Not the woody again:-) Good shot, the composition not that interesting in terms of using the space and angles.
