| This is very well done. Only thing i would suggest is if u submitted this to a challenge, would be to make it as large as the challenge allows. As it is now, the small size would have a negative impact on how its voted on. |

Thank you both  cryan and  beamsclan for your lovely comments on this shot. It was one of the first I took with a DSLR (the D40X, February this year), I knew almost nothing about how to use it, and had to clamber up many many sharp volcanic rocks to get the right angle. I started shooting at sunset, but this one was taken in almost complete darkness, with a 9 second exposure. Getting back down to the sand was a REAL challenge! Not a lot has been done to it post processing, just a couple of levels and a white balance, from memory. Some find it depressing, but I'm finding the deep thinkers seem to really love it. |
