First off, very sound exposure and pretty well spot on there. Excellent combination of DOF and sharpness. I agree also that the center composition doesn't make the off-screen anticipation as strong as it could be, maybe if the dog were positioned on the left third of the picture with more space on the right third really driving home "What is he looking at?" So really, the thing I personally would focus on is composition, otherwise it's pretty solid and sound. Its hard to get animals to cooperate so kudos there. Keep it up, I really like it.

Good portrait, nice exposure, but cropped a little too centered. If you took more off the left of the picture to make his center line more on the thirds line, would be much stronger. DoF is excellent. Nice shot. |

It strikes me that the focus is on his nose rather than his eye. Tough exposure...you lose a lot of detail under the ear, you might have considered trying to recover some of that. The image is good, but to me (I am color blind) the background while blurred well is boring in color. |

I like it except it is a little too centered. Nice lighting...makes you wonder what he is looking at. |
