This is a McFarlane Lost Series Shannon figure (//mcfarlaneonline.stores.yahoo.net/shlose1mcpr.html). It's about 6 inches long. I bought it with the idea of creating some kind of odd reality in a photo. This challenge seemed to fit the bill. It's shot with natural daylight from a window on my dining room table stopped down quite a bit to darken the back and foreground. I've lost perspective on it so it's hard for me to tell just how obvious it is that it's not real. My intent was to at least make people do a double take. The figure shape is so realistic it was fun to experiment with light on an "almost-human" body. Anyway, a little bizarre but fun for this challenge.

Hi from the Critique Club;

Ha, looks very lifelike, except the hair. Nicely set up, the jean material makes a decent background, could be a sofa. It would be nice if you had a little more DOF but that is just my personal preference...tough to do with a macro style shot. Your lighting is good and it really did make me do a double take when I opened the page.

Nice placement and you had good comments + a fav. Keep shooting!

Mark

Nice bokeh, and it is somewhat lifelike. Lighting is nice although I would like it a little brighter.

Very lifelike, I'd like to have seen more of her face but this angle is still effective. Nice shot.
