 After a very rainy, windy, night at Many Glacier Lodge in Glacier National Park the clouds broke for a few minutes early in the morning and a large beam of sunlight hit the end of the mountain across the lake. Everyone was yelling and running for their cameras when it happened. It was truly as dramatic as this image portrays.

I was resting the camera on posts and on automobile hoods in an effort to keep it stable.

I cloned out a portion of a building on the left, removed a couple of while poles on the lower left in the bushes and removed the top of a fire hydrant on the right lower side.

the oranges are a little too strong for me, but i like the way they contrast against the blues nicely

This is a beauty. You were in the right place, right time. Good job on exposure not letting the shadows go totally dark while still capturing the highlights on the peak and in the sky. Beautiful!
