Hey Susan, it's the focus that kept this from scoring higher. For shots like this I will change the focus point on the camera and compose so that point is right on the eye. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions.

| The composition is good. The focus is in the wrong place, generally the eyes should be the focal point. Also, it looks like direct, harsh lighting was used. Try experimenting with different types of light, it makes a difference. :-) |

| A little more DOF would have made this jump. Still nice, but sparkling eyes and sharp whiskers? POW! |

| I'm a sucker for cats, this one is good, focus would be better on the eyes than the nose, especially when the nose is all white like that |

| the white are pretty overpowering, and out of focus. but i like the composition, flash usually tends to wash out thigns this close of a focal length |
