Once I saw this challenge I knew that a trip to the Science Museum was in order. They have a Frog exhibit and it was my hope to capture a good picture of some paired dart poison frogs or some other colorful frogs.

The first hour hanging around the displays showed no good pairings of the majority of the frogs - including the monkey tree frogs which would have been cool. I learned quickly and frustratingly in that hour that Dart Poison Frogs are not easy to capture in low light conditions. I'd focus on the buggers then right before pressing the shutter they would move or another would hop into the scene and spoil the paired composition.

As the kids were with me I gave up get a frog pair so we went around the museum and did other things. I informed them I wanted to check back later to see if any frogs moved so as I could get a pair. A half hour later I could not have timed it better.

While walking up to the display I spotted one Chinese Glider Frog on the branch and another had JUST hopped onto the same branch. If only Mother Nature would be a more willing model like this this happy occurance I'd have less trouble getting shots:-)

Very nice shot, I really like the line drawn by the branch and the different orientation of the frogs, which somewhat adds balance to the curve of the branch. It is also nice that the wood is green on the left and brown on the right!
I also like the leaf, I don't think it is distracting, it gives the image something which makes it more interesting and less symmethrical, even though it shows two strange hues of green that look like an artifact (maybe due to the low light?).
I am only a little bit disappointed that the lower frog is not perfectly in focus, I think it is the only thing that makes this a good picture and not a great one.
Anyway, congratulations!

I think this would be better with a little brightness and contrast... It's a wonderful composition, although that green leaf is distracting. I hope this does well for you. I really like frogs. :)

Nice image - Maybe the green leaf is a tad distracting
