Ok, how did YOUR metaphor break the 5 barrier? Probably would have hit a high 5 or a 6 if not for all the metaphors without roads getting lowballed.

The designer stubble, the nice-ish clothes and the lack of markings on the subject make the implied hardship a nonsense. Otherwise, a nice idea. (But then, folks with nice digital cameras don't make good poverty subjects usually.)

I get the feeling that it's supposed to represent the pitfalls of drug use/addiction. If so, I wish it were the case and it was the 'Road Less Traveled'.

I hope I am reading this image correctly, as I see he has chosen the wrong road!? Nice image, would have liked to have seen the model dirtier looking if I am correct about your interpretation.

What a great metaphor for choices made in life. I hope you are not getting killed with low DNMC votes for this, because I think it is one of the best and fits the challenge perfectly.

I would like to know the rest of the story that exists before the "..."

Great interpretation of the challenge, the image itself is quite haunting as well. Nice use of light and tones. Me likes.
