Nice tribute. To help it be more abstract, I would consider eliminating the horizontal white element across the bottom.

Crop about 30 pixels off the bottom and you'd score much higher with the DPC crowd. Nice copycat work. :-)

Beautiful shot, if you had boosted the black levels it would have been perfect! The gray splotches in the top of the frame detract from an otherwise perfectly executed shot. Great job though!
