Very cool. I like the choice of focus and the overall feel of the shot. I think something bugs me about the composition though... I think in the case of a square crop a centered composition might have worked... made it stark and strong. Something... Not sure. But I like it.

i think i wouldve liked this better if the focus point was the front of the branch

would prefer the lighter leavsin focus. The eye searches too much before landing on what you chose to focus on.
