When they announced the challenge, I'd hoped for a few horsepower shots :) I really like the textures here - it's an interesting twist on the usual gleamy chromey stuff. I like your title too - reminds me of my grandfather. He'd say, "Ya wanna hear a dirty joke? Yeah? 40 white horses ran through the mud!" Well, he'd only gotten it half right but he'd laugh like hell anyway ;-) Congrats on getting the Tan! (very close to brown) Badge of honor in these parts. |

I like this concept but find the picture slightly too contrasty. But I like that it is different (7) |

Hello. I am making a point on commenting on the photos that I rated a 2 or 3 in this challenge.
I gave this image a 2 for the following:
As with the other photos in this challenge that were based on this subject, I just don't feel that it is a clever enough interpretation to warrant a higher score. Horsepower may have been based on horses at one time in the past, but today it speaks of vehicles. For me, challenges are there for a reason, to challenge. I believe if we were to allow interpretation this wide-spread, every challenge may as well be a free study.
So, with that in mind, this image warrants a 2 from me. Perhaps you are faring better with other voters. |

Ummm.... I'd 'buy' the horsepower part, but the processing of this has turned me off. I'm sorry. |
