Challenge: Serendipity (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Pentax Optio 555
Location: Melbourne, Australia

It looks like a bat flying across the moon on a moonlit night, but this was taken in the middle of the day. I took it quickly before the camera had a chance to adjust its light metre.

The serendipity in this shot was that I was driving while I took it and didn't see the bird (and was pleasantly surprised that I had a photo that I thought was worth posting). I was surprised later on when I viewed it.

Great sky you´ve captured and the bird (or what it is flying there) gives it a lot thou maybe it´s pretty hard to recoginse unless you look carefully.

Nice abstract composition. The bat (?) almost gets lost in the pattern of the clouds. That's partly bad, because without the bat, there isn't much point. It's partly good, because it is cool how the shapes match.

Very interesting clouds - nice effect. Flying bird adds a lot - without it where would the serendipity be? Tree silhouette effective.

The bright spot being so over exposed cost you a couple points.

Quite unusual.
Drawn in by the stunning clouds, only to find a bird soaring.
Nice!

The cloud formations are very cool. And the silhouette of the tree adds a bit but i think had you studied it a bit more you could've done better with your composition.

Cool pic -- I wish that the sun hadn't blown out the highlights, altho I don't know how to accomplish it.

The sun and tree really compete here--so much that your subject seems lost. I can easily see why you attempted it and hope you'll try for the subject again.

What a pity! The sky and clouds are wonderful, only the white area is a bit too big and too bright. That nasty sun . . .
