Hooray for Jello! It comes in pretty colours, it's easy to make, sets in next to no time, stays nice and clear, and is pretty darn near foolproof to shoot.
The martini glass was first rimmed with powdered grape Jello, then prepared Jello was carefully poured in. Let it set, stick a sprig of purple basil (yes, you can get purple basil) on top for decoration, stick in lightbox and shoot. Lights were a 60w light pointing at 5o'clock, and a 40 w blue lightbulb from the right to help knock out a pervasive too-red glow.

| LOL! Not at the picture, but at the location. You need to have that made into a sign. Definitely on the purple side! Agree with one commenter that for DPC purposes, you need the ever-popular tack sharpness thing going on. Have to admit, though, I didn't know basil came in purple! |

| Nice perspective. Overall the shot could use some contrast. Perhaps some ice would've been better than the mint? turned purple. (no vote) |

| A bit more contrast, or adjustment of curves to bring out the color, it seems dull overall its different from the rest of the images and I like it nonetheless |
