 Too dark, too light,
Well, look at me
refusing to take flight....
So, let my image be!

Went out to do this, based on some saying 'Photos are made, not taken...". So confident in my 'mind-capture'I took 3 pics only, Thought it is a good idea, but also know it may not do well. Expect a 5.5......? What a shitty score for a good image.....

Post Challenge; What a nice surprise, and nice it is. As I have predicted... "too dark", and yes, it was after all my choice that way. Thanks for your votes, you won't believe what a beautiful print this 'too dark' makes.

Just an excellent shot. The person how said "photos are made not taken" knew what he was talking about as I believe it was Ansel Adams.

Don't let anyone tell you it is too dark. It works very well. The dof is just right too. I'm putting this in the top 2.

Dark, greasy hands in a subtle sepia tone works every time. I expect this'll finish quite high.

well cropped, good focus. too dark for my taste (though you will probably state it was intentional after the challenge)

Good composition with great detail in the hands and wood. I realise the photo is low key, but I wish there was just a little more contrast... Over all very nice though - well done!
