This was another shot from the P&S powershot which it must be said I have fallen in love with : )
The sun was really bright that day with a clear blue sky so I went out into the garden. It was quite difficult to get a clear shot as there were fences and houses and a hedge- the angle of the shot became steeper and steeper, meaning I had to try and jump higher and higher. Neither did I want to be 'in' the sun which I was a couple of times (not litteraly); so I was saying to my sister 'on the camera screen wheres the sun in comparison to my hand 'err, about 95 million miles away..' 'no, Holly, realy', and then edging this way and that to get the right composition. Great thanks to my sister who had to lie on the floor pressing the shutter and holding the camera at a ridiculous angle. At one point I had to go and get a chair to jump off, but It was difficult to jump into the picture at the peak of the jump,and land in one peice.
I'll find the details and put them up.

I'm impressed with the way that you work so well with the bright sun. Most people think that it's a great disadvantage to shoot in the bright sun, but you seem to use it to your advantage!

This is an interesting composition. Have you looked at it turned 1/4 turn counter clockwise. It would look like the light is supporting you.
It's a unique shot.

Simply beautiful. Great use of the sun to backlight you. B&W is a great choice here as well.
