great composition, nice idea.....i can't decide if i like the DOF or not, though. i love that the focus draws more attention to the matches, but i feel that it might not have been completely necessary, since it is a simple scene without other distractions.

I like the play on words and also that you made an "x" shape - all roads lead to algebra :D

I like the angles. Maybe if the matches hadn't been used and were still red, their color would have helped.

Lacks interest for me. Sorry.
I think a tweak to the saturation, making the photo more 'punchy' might help?
