Someone did this one already. Surprised o find it in our garden. As far as we know it is the seed pod to Clematis.
Just played with a border to match it to the pod.

Wow I almost thought this was man made. Very unique shape and pod, to me anyways. Almost looks like braided hair. Very nice capture.

I've had it on my "to shoot" list to photograph the clematis in my garden. Ya beat me to it! Nice shot that shows off the fuzzies well.

that's a very interesting pod, nice otherworldly feel to the photo

My clematis seed pods don't look quite like that; I'll have to go shoot one now (if I can find them under the butterfly bush). Yours is very cool! The twist to it is fabulous.

ETA: apparently I shot one last time I did a flower side challenge, though now that I look at it I bet I could get a better one. Anyway, you can see what mine look like, more or less:

I have wanted to get a good shot of the clematis "tufts" but haven't been that successful yet. This one is spectacular showing the tiny 'hairs' and the twist!

I was attracted by the color right away & then lingered to enjoy the detail. I love a good border, don't get me wrong, but this is not the right border for this comp, IMHO. [eta] Because, the border should not call attention to itself & because this one did, for me. It makes me think of a plain wood frame. Because, if I was going to frame this to hang on the wall, a simple, narrow wood frame would not be my choice. Because, framing is so personal, it's almost a guarantee that whatever you pick for your border/frame will please only you best. Because, if it was for myself, I would've made a border that falls away rather that 'frames' the subject, because that blossom is really interesting & your capture of it only adds to it's best qualities of form & line & color. Well I hope this helps explain. It's late, I can almost see the bottom of my vodka shooter, I'm free-associating here!
