 Woody Lights up Beijing

Now what to do with a woody? With so much going on around the world that he could be fitted into I thought the Olympics would suit, so I set about working from photos. The stadium cut out the background sky and added the fireworks; both the stadium and the fireworks were created on 2 A4 sheets. The floor piece of the rings was channel mixed to achieve the red type color to fit with the glow from the sky. Cut the dancer out, and set up as a separate piece of composition, the same with the Olympic torch. The round ball with the flame was bought from a store with the candle center and was used to create a theme for the shoot with woody holding a replica of the torch did a number of shots and moved the torch closer to the flame will looking at the result the torch caught on fire and having the remote in my hand shot away, I selected this photo as it has 2 flames working together and added to the composition, of cause this is the way I saw the shot and setup, hope you like it. The camera was raised above the setup and fired giving the impression of looking down at the center stadium.
