Your face here, in itself, is not too soft, but the background, seeming so sharp in comparison, makes it look softer than it really is. You're not focussing on the background first, then getting into the shot, by any chance, are you? |

A little blurry and the tonal range could use a little oomph, but your eyes still carry the emotion right through the page to the viewer. What an incredible connection to the camera. |

I'm stoked to see a smile! Very pretty.
I agree with Ken about moving further away from the background, not only will it create a softer shadow but it will make the wrinkles in the background less noticable. :) |

I really like your B&W conversion and the high contrast created by the light background.
The lighting is very good, IMO, but that shadow is a bit distracting. What I would do is pull yourself a bit away from the background and make sure the focus is on you, which should create a much softer shadow. |

A little soft on the focus, but the BW works here and your eyes are always mesmerizing. Very nice job. |

focus is a little off, and the shadow is a little distracting from your face, but i like the bw. glad to see ya back girl! |
