Ok I think I like this one a little better :)

Same conditions as other profile

Early evening, cloudy skies, sheet over fence, on camera flash

ETA- ya I'm much happier with this one, and I think I figured out why. The first one I was trying to get the same look Monica did, and in this one I went my own direction. This still isn't perfect, but I'm much happier. Thanks for all the advice yall!

I like the lighting on this because it adds depth and texture to your facial features. How did you do the lighting for this then compared to the other one? Nice job.

I agree, get some light on the eye and it would make it perfect. Much nicer than the first one. Great work.

Just need to get some light on the eye area and this is perfecto! If you shoot RAW, you can overexpose a copy of the image (in your RAW adjustment software) and put it on a layer under the first copy, then erase at about 30% opacity with a soft brush varying size and zooming in until you get a nice blend. Good image nonetheless.

The white border and the tighter crop on this one makes a big difference.
I like it much more than the first one, two thumbs up!
