 This is Eel Pond, a protected harbor, in Woods Hole, MA - my new home. The fog was enveloping everything this morning and the water was still. I am looking forward to Fall when the harbor has fewer boats and I can isolate just one or two of these sail boats in the same setting.

Post Challenge: Thank you everyone ! This is my Personal Best, my first score over 7.0 and this challenge brings my average to over 6.0. I have learned so much in the last 1.5 years at DPC. I appreciate all the feedback and the opportunity to compete with such great photographers.

Looks very peaceful. I like the clarity of the water, the overall tint and the transition from dark to light. Would be interesting to know what kind of filter and processing was used for this.

I'm thinking an Enzo shot here :-)

(If you're not hotpasta, please take the fact that I've mistaken your shot for his as a sincere compliment, as I regard his work very highly)

I do like blue tints on water shots, and I particularly like the shallow-DOF-like effect caused by the fog. You've captured it very well in this shot. The only think I'm not keen on are the reflections of the masts in the water, they look a tad pixellated, but I suspect it's the way the water reflects the light and the 640-pixel resolution that causes this, a larger print would do it justice.

Overall, an excellent shot. Well done.
