Yes, I believe it's Timothy Lake, I found it through GPS on my route to Mt. Hood. |
This is definitely Trillium Lake, near the boat ramp. It's not possible to get a view of Mt. Hood like this from Timothy Lake. |
Thanks for the correct name of the lake! I double check the web and you are right, it's Trillium. |

Oregon? I think surely you must have missed the turn-off and ended up in Heaven.
Wow!!! I love the scale that the people on the doc give this. This is an absolutely flawless photo. Congratulations on award-winning recognition for it!

Usually I use RAW adjustment tool, color balance, selective color, channel mixer, hue/sat and layer mode to enhance colors and details. There is no need of HDR when the whole scene is within the dynamic range of your camera RAW. Sometimes HDR processing will just screw up your image especially when there is nice gradient in your image. I rendered one HDR version for your comparison. As you can see, the left side of the sky looks strange.

A well taken, well processed photo. However, I find the objects in the water a little distracting - they seem to become the subject of the photo rather than the peak. |

To me, it looks like more then a basic edit. But just because I can't do it doesn't mean somebody else could. It's an excellent painting - umm, I mean photo and I would be very proud to call it my own. I want to give it a 10 but part of me says no. But it's too cool: 10 |

A great shot of mount Hood.
It brings back memories of the time I spent in Oregon.
The reflection is spectacular but the rock in the lake upsates the mirror effect. At a higher angle without the rock this photo would look spectacular. |

Nicely done, the composition is dead on, great use of the people on the dock & the fisherman in the boat gives everything scale. |
