 A last minute entry...the sky was clear on the last day of the challenge so no great sunrise to shoot this a.m., but the light was pretty decent at 6am and the lifeguard umbrella adds a nice bit of color. Hoping for a 6+, not really expecting too much however...but I entered the 'beat your average' challenge and I feel obligated to keep going...

Processing - Levels, selective colors, hue/saturation, noise ninja, crop, resize for web, sharpen post resize.

Post Challenge: Very pleased with the score and comments. AND look at that scoring average for commenters - 7.8+ - Way cool!

A really excellent capture of morning light - you caught it at just that right point when it's still magic and before the reality of the day sets in. Nice location for capturing it, too!

Congrats on a great finish Peter, I really liked the composition and the splash of color that the umbrella brought to the shot. Nice textures in the sand as well.
