Greeitngs from the CC, I think choosing a subject is a hard decision. It is hard to balance availablity, and interest and meeting challenge. I think your choice of subject is a bit lacking, if you choose to shoot an ordinary subject you have to do something (IMO) to make the ordinary extraordinary, to make the viewer wow, or feel, of display a technique that is unique. I think you also suffered a bit with this shot because the main part of the shot, the white bulb coverings are not sil.s' which meeting the topic on dpc is important. Just some thoughts on subject choices really hope it helps a little and does not sound too harsh : ), keep shooting! |

Shot is a little too busy with the frame filled and no negative space to set off the composition. I don't feel that your subject is interesting enough beyond the challenege brief. Shot against a pure blue sky this may work very nicely. |

A decent photo, but I think there is far too much detail (on my monitor) for it to be considered a silhouette |

the fading colurs of the sky is really nice. This might have worked better if the tree was in the FG & the lamp in the BG bc the lamp is not in silhoette. |

This is indeed a silhouette, but I'm not sure what you wanted to achieve with it. It just seems a bit boring to me, especially with it's centred composition. I think the trees were a nice idea, but there is too much clutter in the background. Good exposure, just the right amount of shadow detail. |
