 It was Scouting Night at the Potomac Nationals baseball game. There were hundreds of scouts there of all ages with scout leaders and parents.

The event was a blast. Before the game the scouts had a small parade on the field. After the game the outfield was converted into a campground and a movie was shown on the scoreboard screen.

Couldn't get many more tents out on that field. When we first started to setup I looked around and just had to laugh...frantic tent pitching and land acquisitions going on everywhere as various groups tried to stay together, etc...

We had a lot of fun! :-)

I wanted to get a shot of the stadium lights in with the tents for the challenge but under basic editing rules I couldn't adjust for both the lights and the field. I suppose with a tripod, an ND grad filter, and some time I could have made it work in camera, but those weren't available.

A couple of comments about the crop; I left part of the field (bottom) and the stadium outfield wall (top) there on purpose to help put the photo in context.

Great colors and shapes but a little too much of a good thing. I would crop at least the top and maybe some of the bottom.

image is a bit busy and doesnt really reflect "evening" to me. nice colors and capture though. best of luck

The challenge was 'Evening'. But your telling me it's Scouting 'Night' and it looks like the broad daylight. It's certainly a quality photo and very interesting but I'm confused. Oh hey, that 'Sleepy's' banner is a trophy catch. Extra points!

I like the colors and the repetition, but maybe a tighter crop would work better.
