Greetings from the Critique Club (and America)
I wish I could see the front of the statue in this shot. There is a lack of context for the shot that makes it not much more than a statue in a corner. I like the clouds in the shot, but it doesn't feel .. whole. Maybe like something is missing?
Oh, and the statement is excellent - whether I agree with you or not (I don't), you DID something with your photo. It MEANS something. That's worth a lot.

| This works for me. It was represents a serendipitous event n history and the photographer has used an unusual view point to make a humorous statement. |

One can't "discover" a place that has been inhabitted for centuries before. Perhaps that attitude is why american's aren't that well liked around the world.
The photo is mediocre at best, too. |

| While the photo is a decent shot and Mr. ErÃksson may have serendipitously found america. (I don't know his story) ...this doesn't say "serendipity" to me.... more like "nice pic of a statue" |

| Excellent shot. I like the placing of the statue on the far right-hand side even though it leaves a lot of space ahead of him. The sky is quite good. |
