Cool PP. I particularly like the edges.

This pp is really neat, I always want to do something like this sketchy feel and just botch it all up when I try. Some more range in the grey would be nice, and I'd like to see a little more sharpness around the nose, but overall this is a really cool effect. Good luck with the rest of the month, I look forward to seeing more!

Fun post p on this one.

A 30 day SP challenge really is great therapy. I was not comfortable looking at pics of myself until I did one of these. This is the third one now. This here is a good crowd to do one with, a bunch of supportive peeps. My first 30 Day SP about half way through I realized hey this isn't so bad and the rest was history. To play outside my comfort zone I over act, ham it up, just have a whole bunch of fun. You'll find that you will take a bunch of shots in a setting and instead of saying EW, you'll wish that you could put more than one up for every one to see.

Really, sticking with that first SP side challenge helped me in quite a few ways, some being beyond being behind the camera only.

Have fun, ham it up. The cool thing about SPs is nothing says we have to be ourselves, we become actors/actresses.

Interesting, but if you don't like taking self portraits, my advice is to pull out a bit (navel or shoulders and above), focus your personal attention on something outside of frame, light one side of your face well and the other with ambient light, and see what happens.

I can tell that you don't like your own SPs. However, you've done something very creative with your eyes by blending the photograph with a more sketchy filter/feel. It works well. The grey tones could have a little more range, but overall I like the effect you achieved.

I like what you have done with your eyes. Those are the parts that bring reality into your work of art. The border is a good addition. Very cool.

Great start and I know what you mean about comfort zone. I'm new too but am breaking out of my shell and thanks to peeps like Johnna, aka TCGuru, with her words of encouragement, I am not backing out.

Whatever you do, don't be scared of the camera. Just jump in with both feet and never look back. You might be surprised at what you come up with. :) I look forward to seeing more of you :)

Ok... good for getting your feet wet in letting other see you in a SP... but more tomorrow?? *smile*

I like this in black and white... but I want to see more... the 'more' is aching to be seen in this!
