 White feather and black akrylic paint (with a squish of water to make it a bit thinner). The paper it lays on is actually bright blue, but in the end the black & white approach was a lot prettier - plus it gave it that dark feel that I wanted.

With the challenge theme being Fallen I've been thinking about fallen angels all week. I like fallen angels - they have a story...
I've tried to capture the essense of loss, solitude, calmness (after the storm) and that morbid melancholy that is pretty, even if distorted. Does any of that makes sense?

IMO the composition is a little weak but the shallow DOF works great here. Clever concept!
