Those pink colors look great against the black!
Is this plant in a pot? Maybe by moving it, you could get a nice background that will not need so much post processing - just a suggestion :))

This isn't bad. I like the graininess combined with the spikiness of the flower. I agree with 43774 that it looks rather alien. Might try playing up that aspect if you reshoot. |

You're too hard on yourself - this is beautiful and I agree with Katmystiry - it looks like fireworks!! Look forward to seeing more of this! |

splendid details and crispness of colors and contrast - the leaf behind seems a bit out of sorts in the image - maybe a slightly different angle would have either brought more of the leaf as a background or eliminated it all together |

What a strange looking flower. I don't think I've ever come across one like this. I really like the processing and the colors. |

I like the grainyness on the leaves, especially the two on the right and up front. |

LOL I didn't get the 'alien' comments till I really stepped back and looked at it. The purple are eyes in a weird spikey face.
Very cool shot indeed!

Love the colors and crop. Could be a little outer-space alien.
Yes, keep playing with this bromeliad. It has personality! |

Wicked shot! Colors pop. It is definitely neat. . . don't underestimate it. Just a suggestion: Did you play with going the other way, i.e., Gaussian Blur instead of sharpening? |

Great choice in the dark background, otherwise you'd have lost the intensity of the floral colors. Nice one. |

Cool looking flower. If I were an insect I would steer clear of this dangerous looking landing area. Great colours and I like the dark bg. |

Is that from a cactus? It looks cool. I like the kind of purplish colors of the sharpies that are coming out. The pokey on the right edge seems too close to it, where the other side isn't. But a very cool plant. |

I have these in my rain forest garden, but not in flower at the moment.
I love the dark background, against the fuchsia pink.
I look forward to many more images from you.
Thanks you for sharing this floral image with us.
Our journey has just begun..... |
