 I was not enthused by the idea of a flower arrangement, leaf, wine glass, etc. "the typical still life photo" and wanted to do something different.

Springfield XD-40 subcompact. Winchester Ranger and Speer Gold Dot (hollow point) Law Enforcement Ammunition. Shot in a makeshift lightbox (foam board and poster board). Used one 400w strobe bouncing off an umbrella for lighting. Shot in manual mode to get the correct exposure.

To all the anti-gun folks out there: pandora's box has been opened for a long time. Guns are here to stay. And believe it or not, they do actually save lives and lower crime rates when used by responsible adults.

The lighting on the badge and gun are too dark compared to the rest of the photo.

Nice lighting on all of the objects in this picture, but the white seems almost too bright.
