 Had a little fun with this one. Went for a dark look with the lighting highlights being the focus of the shot. These were some kind of bizzare looking sugar and creamer we got as a wedding present.

Crank up the lighting, IMHO - it's just a tad on the dark side. But those mugs do have personality!

I really like your subjects but the lighting is too low. I also would have liked to see the background smooth and out of focus.
