 The picture was taken against the sun, in the early afternoon, on highway 3B, just a couple kilometres outside Rossland. It started to snow just a bit, then rain, then it stopped. The storm moved on quickly, and was gone from between the hills by the time I had taken 5 shots. Such is life in the mountains :)

Very strong, balanced shot with a nice range of contrast, both in mood and light. Looks like four seasons in two minutes. :-)

The inclusion of the road adds much, IMHO.

very nice capture, nice composition, nice natural lighting. A change of positiojn / perspective might have caught more actual silhouete than you are displaying here but, I stil think this is a beautiful image.

I think this may well be a winner. The high contrast and dramatic angle is quite stunning. Not sure if it fully follows the challenge, but I am voting it a straight 10 anyway. Absolutely gorgeous.
