 I wanted to show the power of heat so I used it to show how it affects ice. I froze a small string in an ice cube and taped it to the underneath of a cabinet. I used a self timer on the camera with a tripod while trying to hold the lighter as steady as possible. I kept the lights in the room off to emphasize the light emitted by the flame. I cropped it to get unappealing background out of the shot. I also shadowed it a little for the same purpose. I sharpened it up a little too.
