Nice colors, not much else. Too busy, no clear focal point. |

The lighting looks a bit flat and dull, which takes away from the very nice set up you have here. |

Wonderful arrangement of ingredients in this composition. Very colorful and full of flavor:-) The lighting for the most part is good. But there is just something that just doesn't quite make this pop. Hmmm, looking critically I think it needs just a bit more lighting to make the white backdrop really bright white. As it is here it is a dull white which doesn't quite allow the ingredients to really visually pop off the page like I know they could. For example take a look at the chopped red onions the white there is whiter & brighter than the backdrop & foreground. Other possible suggestions to get the whites whiter in basic editing is to adjust the White Balance meter on the camera before you take the shot if you can. Another possible way to brighten the scene is to use the flash - but to put a tissue paper in front of the camera flash so that it diffuses the light so that you get none of the harsh shadows/reflections that can occur with a full on flash. Still, a wonderful capture that earns an 8. |

Good idea, great ingredients presentation, but the avocado shows a bruise in the flesh, the onion dice gets lost in the fg. I'd have had a bigger bowl of the guacamole and everything else playing second fiddle to it, here you have to look for it. |

Definitely looks tasty. I think the lighting is too direct. Using some side lighting would help give the shot more depth and contrast. |
