Just LOOK at that eye! Amazingly beautiful and interestingly composed. I gave this a 9 during the challenge, but am enjoying it again... so maybe I should have given it a ten?? Sorry... :) |

WOW. Your first macro attempt? Sheesh! I've been at it for more than a year, and I still haven't captured anything as good as this. I mean, the hairs on top actually look soft, like I'd like to run my fingers through them. Looks like another type of photography is yours to master, Sandy. :) |

Yeah yeah STILL struggling to get to grips with that new lens. Another of your amazing images I love the moment in time and the sharpness of the image. The textures are amazing and I feel I could just reach out and touch the fuzziness of the bee's body (not that I would of course...Me not stoopid)
You truly are an amazing artist |

The detail on the calyx, the limited palette serve very well to make this a composition and and not just a bee macro, though he is certainly doing his part. |

Man, Sandy - this just suffered from a minor contrast issue, but a terrific capture - what sharp focus! |

You know, I kinda thought this was yours based on some shots in your portfolio. I'd say you've got the hang of this. This is wonderful! And not only is it a fantastic macro, it has that SandyP touch, too! |

Excellent macro, especially the detail in the yellow bits of the flower and the fuzz on the stem. Bokeh colors support very well! |

I like the softness of this shot. It looks good in a square crop as well. 8 |

Perfect focus and depth of field. Most bug macros have such a thin plane of focus that most of the bug is blurry. You hit it just perfectly here. |

this is different than the other bee photos ive seen and i like this a lot, the flower and subtle background colors really help, and the white petals make it stand out, not to mention the pollen! |

quite overdone subject, but lovely due to its very good execution. perfect focus, centered comp works well in the square crop, border is just subtle enough. yellows are a tad oversaturated and produce slight banding. bumping up to 8 |
