More strength than we're ready to handle, and more tragedy than the original blast (fallout and depleted unranium weapons). Nice capture of the painted surface, and a great idea for the challenge.

the concept communicated is clear and makes up for the overall lack of visual interest. the contrast and color is a little mushy and does not support the awesome power of the subject

I like how you've titled this, for one. It's a powerful photo. However, it seems you could have played with the white balance or something here. If this was more of the black and white that I assume it should be, it'd be even more powerful. 6
