I think I have to agree with the majority on this one. Do you have a calibrated monitor Susan? This is definately too bright.
It should look a bit more like this |

| This to me is a tad overexposed. Though post processing isn't always the solution, you can normalize this a bit by using levels and bring in more darks and midtones. |
