Taken during a bit of rain at a local park. I was getting tired of taking macro shots of perfect flowers with tons of colours and then happened upon these. Editing included a sharpening in lightroom and save for web.

interesting visual shot with the almost monochrome aspect to it - apart from the points of bright orange.

It's advanced editing. I would have cloned out the dirt spots on the pedals.

Edit: Well don't I look dumb. I didn't even read your title the first time around in voting. Obviously those spots are "imperfections." I don't really like the flower in the upper right as it doesn't seem to match the other three flowers. Cloning it out could lead to a DQ though. Your main flower is very detailed and sharp and you can really see the texture in the pedals which it great. Having said that, I still might have cloned out the large brown spot on the left :) 7

Finding the perfect flower is important for this type image. It is also important to look at other parts of the image and either use the other flowers to improve the image or delete them totally. The parts of flowers showing distract from this one. Also, an angle is often better than straight on for a flower photo

pretty colors in the center of the flower, wish the crop was not so tight, just showing a tad more

Perfect imperfection I'll say.
