 This is the view from Pali overlook on Oahu, in Hawaii. On our last day, we had a couple of hours to drive around before heading to the airport. If you're ever there, take highway 61 from Honolulu.

My title initially referred to the clouds, but the encroaching development could also be seen that way. I think that's the town of Kaneohe.

The funny thing about the processing is that the more I looked at it during voting, the less I liked how much I pushed it. So I ended up agreeing with the commenters who said so.

Jeffrey, I'm glad this scored well for you. Looks like the Hawaii trip was productive! I bet this looks really nice at a larger size!

Yah, it seems to be overdone. I have a strong suspicion that this might be sublime with a more muted processing and a larger image size. Care to show us an example done that way? Lovely POV, no kidding :-)

Lovely view! The clouds really make this for me. I'd vote on the over-processed side, but for what it is (a landscape entry at DPC) I'd say the processing is pretty much dead on. For what you hang on your wall, you may want to tone it down a bit. Or not. :-) Well seen and captured!

Ohhhhh...very dramatic clouds. I love the detail in the mountains, but I think you should have done it in PURPLE though...haha! I wish I could go on an exotic vacation this Summer. I will just have to Photoshop this one into my life. Well done, Jeffrey!

I love how it feels like you are almost up there with the clouds. I love how big, beautiful and fluffy they are. Gorgeous scene.

I wish you wouldn't have pressed the contrast to much - a little softer look would have made you go 'ahhh' instead of o.O

I have always felt that clouds can make or break a landscape shot. They definitely make this one. Love the colors too.
