Thank you very much everyone , for your kind comments. This shot did so much better than I expected. I was just hoping to get a 6.0 here. This is a wonderful pleasant surprise. My original intent was to capture the glow of the sunset sky on the water. I missing that 15min timeframe, but in the end the b/w has it's own charm. I had to crop squarish to keep the detail I wanted.

I thought my outtake would be more DPC friendly and was very close to swapping my final entered shot with this

Great decision sticking with this shot. The outtake hasn't nearly as much impact. What you've done here is taken a busy scene and turned it into sea of tranquility. Magical. Congratulations for the blue!

About as weathered as it gets! The fog really adds to the atmosphere of this scene, making the remnants seem even more ephemeral. The minimal subject and placid water also add to the solemn mood, almost reminiscent of a funeral for the past.
